FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST TREATMENT?
Wear comfortable clothes. comfy trousers or shorts and a t-shirt work well and skirts and dresses tend not to. We often don't need you to remove any clothing but sometimes it's better as long as you are comfortable with it. If not, no problem we can treat you all the same.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?
We will assess your injury to see how we can best help you. This will include taking a medical history and understanding how you received your injury and what makes it better or worse. We will then recommend a care plan to address what we find
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
It's hard to say without first assessing your injury. Usually we can get on top of simple aches and pains within 2 or 3 sessions. Other more complicated injuries can take longer but we will discuss everything with you after your assessment so that you have a good idea of what to expect
DO THE TECHNIQUES HURT?
Some of the techniques we use can be a little uncomfortable but we work in a way that puts you in charge of how much discomfort you experience. We primarily use the McTimoney technique, a type of Chiropractic which is usually perceived to be more gentle. You may feel a little sore for a few days afterwards but we treat conservatively to avoid this as much as possible
Will I have to take any clothes off?
Usually not. There may be occasions when we would ask you to remove some clothing so that we can, for instance, test the sensation on your arms or legs or the pulses in your feet, or maybe listen to your lungs or heart with a stethoscope. Ultimately the choice is yours.

Sometimes joints click as gas escapes from them. This is not harmful, nor is it therapeutic or indicative of a good or bad adjustment. We know that sometimes a person really doesn't like the idea of having their neck adjusted and that's fine by us, there are other techniques that we can use so that you don't have to
